Week 22 Commentary

AJ Allmendinger got his first NASCAR Sprint Cup win last weekend at the road course at Watkins Glen, likely putting him in the Chase.

Some of the favorites had dismal days, and we had a nasty crash involving Michael McDowell and Ryan Newman.

JR Racing won the week, with Glynn and Ricky Racer tied for second, Team Wolf in fourth and Team Taser in fifth. Team Taser and Glynn continue to blister the score sheet each week.

Team Taser continues to show the way, followed closely by Glynn.  Smokes Fury, No Ones Beatch and KDog round out the top five.

Not a lot of shake and bake in the overall standings, with Jr Racing sliding up while Boris Head Racing was sliding down.

Tony Stewart sat out the race at Watkins Glen and will sit out again this weekend at Michigan, still dealing with the overwhelming grief of the tragic events with killed young racer Kevin Ward.  Jeff Burton will drive the #14 Chevy SS.

We will be carrying some seriously high speeds this weekend as we run the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.  Jeff Gordon is our polesitter.

They aim to put the field under green at approximately 1:16PM.
