Kurt Busch has run his mouth one too many times, this time insulting the honorable Dr. Jerry Punch. Please see the following:
Now, Busch is out of the #22 Pennzoil Dodge.
David Ragan is the front runner to get the ride, and there is no word on where Busch may land. There are not any known Cup options for him, particulary with a strong team.

It was some rough racing in in Phoenix, with the newly configured Phoenix International Raceway.
The Chase comes down to Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart. Five time Jimmie Johnson's string of titles is broken.
No Ones Beatch won the week, followed by Boy Racing Inc., who have kept the hammer down. Pamela's Pistons and BAHL round out the top five.
CF Canes, Steve O, Team Hot Stuff, Smoke's fury and BAHL each gained at least five spots. Ratatack, Fuller's Fast Track and Ricky Racer fell 5 or more, with Lisa Las Vegas blowing up on lap one dropping an amazing 16 spots.
We settle it all in Homestead this weekend. Carl Edwards is on the pole for the Ford 400, while Smoke starts 15th.
First Lady Michelle Obama is the Grand Marshal and will give the command to start engines. Can't wait to join the chorus of boo birds. They aim to put them under green at 3:16PM.

Tony Stewart took the checkered flag at Texas, and a real tight race for the chase has emerged between Smoke and Carl Edwards.
S&T Racing won the week, followed by Ron Dog Racing, CF Canes, No Ones Beatch, Team Taser and Ricky Racer.
CF Canes was he big gainer of the week, while Chief Racing and Team Hot Stuff had engine failure.
Boy Racing, Inc. continues to lead the pack, and it is likely a formality. SPC moved into fourth, while Team Taser is fifth.
This week we are in a newly configured Phoenix International Raceway for the Kobalt Tools 500. Ricky Racer toured the track in his golf cart but failed to phone in a report, so we will have to learn about the new grooves as we go. Green flag scheduled to drop at 3:15PM.

For the week at Martinsville, we saw WTF Racing win the week, followed by Steve O, Racing Fever, BAHL and The Big Lebowski.
Only Team Hot Stuff had a big gain in positions in the standings, while Ricky Racer, Team Collin and Team BC fell hard.
Only three to go, and we are over in Texas this week for the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Greg Biffle is our pole sitter while Kasey Kahne was fastest in Happy Hour practice. Green flag at 3:16PM.
UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Due to actions in the Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway Friday Night, Kyle Busch has been parked for the remainder of the weekend and will not be permitted to run the cup race!

Week 32 Commentary
Steve O had a huge week, winning the week after another round of love bug racing at Talladega Superspeedway. Captain Schwab, CF Canes 7, WTC Racing and S& T Racing rounded out the top five.
Steve O and Captain Schwab were the top advancers of the day, capitalizing on the third place finish by Dave Blaney. BAHL, MMSH, Speedway Princess and Cane Racing all crashed out.
Mama's Boy, with Big and Lil Boy following, are cruising towards the trophy stand. The Gas Man and SPC emerged this week as the top challengers, but I doubt they have enough time.
This week we are in Martinsville, perhaps the only track that remains home of some good racing. Fenders will be banging, and tempers are sure to flare.
The rag drops for Tums Fast Relief 500 at 1:43PM EST.

Week 31 Commentary
Ole Five Time, Jimmie Johnson, is usually a gold star bet at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but an unusual spin put him hard into the wall, damaging his Chase hopes for a sixth consecutive championship and putting a hurting on many racers in the Conway NASCAR League.
Matt Kenseth won the race, but CF Canes won the week, followed by URBANSGATORS, Lisa Las Vegas, Blue 7 Racing, SPC Racing and BAHL.
The drivers making big moves this week were few. BAHL, Blue 7 and Burke gained five while Chief Racing and Punch lost five.
Five is the word, and the top five remained he same, with Ford Motor Company's Boy Racing Inc coasting to the championship.
This week is the wildcard as we head to The White Knuckle Highway, Talladega Superspeedway. Moves have been made to thankfully ditch the Love Bug Racing experiment, so we really don't know what to expect until practice.
In addition, with Indy-Car racer Dan Wheldon's death at Las Veagas Motor Speedway, will the good ole boys exercise some caution. Well, not for a minute.
Green flag for the Good Sams Club 500 is at 2:19PM.
Stand on it and keep the shiny side up!

Wicked Wreck at Vegas Claims Dan Wheldon
Dan Whledon, a two time winner of the Indianapolis 500, including in 2011, has lost his life in a horrific 15 car crash at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this afternoon. ABC had the race coverage:
Ironically, Wheldon was a part time racer this year, and was essentially unemployed after winning the 2011 Indy 500. Wheldon spoke with CNBC's Darren Rovell days after the 500.
Wheldon was set to take over for Danica Patrick, who is heading over to NASCAR full time next season. This racing is very dangerous, and even though the safety measures advanced in the recent years, particularly in the aftermath of the death of the legendary Dale Earnhardt at Daytona International Speedway in 2001, it remains so. Five time NASCAR champ Jimmie Johnson took a very hard hit last night at Charlotte, a hit made easier to absorb by the safer barriers and HANS device innovations.
Thoughts and prayers will be with Wheldons family; may he rest in peace.

Week 29 Commentary
Kurt Busch took the checkered flag at Dover, as the chase points get real tight.
Team Taser won the week, with Little Circle Burner, Lisa Las Vegas, UrbansGators and Disc Golfer rounding out the top five.
Those gaining spot included UrbansGators, Lisa Las Vegas, Smoles Fury, Ricky Racer and Budah. Going a lap down were BAHL, Blue 7 and Fitz Racing.
Mama's Boy contiunes to show the way, and the list fo racres with a chance to overtake is dwindling fast. Big and Lil remain tucked in off the bumper, with The Big Lebowski and Pamela's Pistons in high speed pursuit.
This week we are out in Kansas at Kansas Speedway for the running of the Hollywood Casino 400. The track is located just west of metro KC in Kansas (most of Kansas City is in Missouri), and rain could be a factor.

Silly season is in full swing, as Bowyer announced a deal with Micheal Waltrip Racing. Drivers changes could heat up quick.

The Chase has begun, and that is winning time for Tony Stewart, who captured his second consecutive win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
BAHL, having noted that he was one of only four CNL races had yet to score a top ten this season, took car of that in dominating fashion, winning the week by fifteen points. The Big Lebowski was second, followed by Glynn, Burke and O Racing.
The big gainers this week were BAHL, GBR88 and Glynn. In the garage with engine trouble were Fuller's Fast Track, Flat Tires Racing and Cane Racing.
Mama's Boy continues to hold a strong lead, with Big and Lil Boy tucked right in right off the back bumper. The Big Lebowski and Pamela' Pistons are running hard, but time is dwindling away.
This week we head back over to Dover for The AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway. It has been 21 years since Dick Trickle sat on the pole here, and 16 years since Kyle Petty brought his Coors Light Pontiac Grand Prix from 37th starting spot to win.
Martin Truex, Jr is our polestitter, and the green flag is scheduled to drop at 2:15PM. Stand on it!

Many of us did not get a chance to see the race at Chicagoland Speedway this past week since yet another rain delay forced the flag to drop while most of us wee at work, at least hose of us lucky enough to have a job.
Tony Stewart got the win, and was able to keep his streak alive of winning at least 1 race in each of the last 12 seasons. Congrats to Smoke!'
GRR88 won the week, followed by The Big Lebowski, Punch, CF Canes and Ratatack Racing. There were not many big movers this week, with GBR88 and UrbansGators (wonder if he is aware Urban is not with ESPN before he ends up at Ohio State) gaining spots and Blue 7 and Snookbabe losing the draft.
Boy Racing Inc continues to show the way, secure int he first three spots with Mama's Boy out front. However, we certainly ask to you to keep Boy Racing Inc in your prayers as they have lost the most valuable member of their team, Mrs. Boy Racing Inc, this past week. Mrs. Hurring, wife of Big and Mother of Lil, was indeed a wonderful person and she will be missed.
This week we are in New Hampshire for the Sylvania 300 on Sunday afternoon. Ryan Newman won the pole yesterday. Green flag is scheduled to drop at about 2:15PM, but rain is the forecast once again. Good Luck

Week 26 Commentary
Racing at Richmond on a Saturday night is fun, and tempers usually flare. We saw some of that this past Saturday, particularly between Marcose Ambrose and Brian Vckers. Kasey Kahne, who is having quite a bit tof trouble bringing one home, is probably still wondering how he got wrecked twice in the first 100 laps. Kevin Harvick won the race.
GBR88 won the week, closely followed by Fullers Fast Track, Flat Tires Racing, Burke and Miss Make Shit Happen.
Flat Tires Racing, GBR88 and Fullers Fast Track, who is traveling the leaderboard in yo-yo fashion, move up several spots. WTF Racing, S&T Racing and Fitz Racing slipped several spots.
Same story different week up front. Have not take an official poll but we may switch back to the old point system next year, as it seems it is more difficult to make up spots. The Boy Racing contingent of Mama, Big and Lil remain 1-2-3, with Pamela's Pistons and The Gas Man rounding out the top five.
We are in Chicagoland this weekend for the running of the GEICO 400. Not sure if the Gecko will be in attendance, but the green flag is set to drop at 2:16PM EST on Sunday.

Rain from Tropical Storm Lee caused quite a disturbance in the sports world over the Labor Day weekend, causing two college football games on two different days to be called short of the finish and the postponement of the AdvoCare 500 until Tuesday morning. Many us us happy to have a job were back at work and missed the event.
Jeff Gordon, who is in championship form, won the race, edging out teammate Jimmie Johnson.
Little Circle Burner won the week, followed by Burke, Blue 7 Racing, Fuller's Fast Track and The Big Lebowski.
Advancing in the standings this week were Little Circle Burner and Burke, while Speedway Princess, Team Cuda and Lisa Las Vegas took their cars to the hauler early.
This week, we are Saturday night racing as the full NFL schedule kicks off Sunday. The Wonderful Pistachios 400 at Richmond International Raceway gets underway about 7:30PM, just about the time the Seminoles and Gators are in the first quarter. Hope you have multiple televisions.

Week 24 Commentary
As seems to be case these days, a fairly uneventful Bristol Night Race saw Brad Keslowski get his first Birstol win. Brad is on fire right now.
Not sure what is making these races have less close racing action, the COT or the new tire, but when Bristol has not tmepers flaring, you know something is up. Yes, we know Kyle Busch is mad, what else is new.
Disc Golfer took the checkers, followed by Mama's Boy, Lil Boy, Big Boy and Team Collin. Gaining ground was Glynn, Blue 7 and Racing Fever. Lap traffic for the racer were Fuller Fast Track, Lisa Las Vegas, WTF Racing, GBR88 and Ratatack Racing.
Boy Racing, Inc. is dominating the league, quite simply. Mama's Boy continues to show the way, with Big Boy, Lil Boy, Pamela's Pistons and The Gas Man rounding out the top five.
The boxes have changed, which presents opportunities.
The Spring Cup Series runs Sunday evening at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend and be glad you have a job as ZERO jobs were created this past month.

Another rather uneventful day of racing on the big wide Michigan International Speedway in the Irish Hills at Brooklyn, MI. Kyle Busch took the checkers, while Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin, and those who selected them, took a hard hit in points.
WTC Racing won the week, followed by Budah, no doubt dart throwing at this point, and UrbansGators, No Ones Beatch and Ratatack.
Team Collin, Fullers Fast Track, Ratatack and UrbansGators were the big winners in the point standings this week. Miss Make Shit Happen, Cane Racing (rumored to not be on the list of 72 Nevin Shapiro) and Team Wolf joined Tank Racing; in tanking.
Mama's Boy reamins out front, but now joined by teammates Big and Lil Boy in a very formidable front leading draft set to run away formt he field. Pamela's Pistons is fourth, while The Gas Man is fifth. Laps are winding down to moutn a serious challenge for the lead, so it is time to mash the gas.
We head to Bristol this week for The Bristol Night Race, where tempers are sure to heat up as they always do at The Worlds Fastest Half Mile. This marks the 50th anniversary of Bristol Motor Speedway, and there are a slew of memorable moments, you know, racin the way it ought to be. The green flag should drop and they will put em under green at @7:43PM Saturday night.
What if I told you Kyle Busch is already torqued?

Week 22 Commentary
In the blink of an eye, they can flat tear up some equipment up at Watkins Glen. This time, it was David Ragan and David Reutimann who took wicked hits:
Prior to Dale Earnhardt losing his life at Daytona, it was at Watkins Glen where JD McDuffie got collected with Jimmy Means and crashed his Pontiac Grand Prix into the outside wall of turn 5, losing his life in 1991.
Speedway Princess and Fuller's Fast Track tied for the win. with Disc Golfer, O Racing and Chief Racing rounding out the top five.
Mama's Boy continues to lead, with Pamela's Pistons, Big Boy^ and Lil Boy^ and The Big Lebowski filing out the top five in championship points. The Gas Man, SPC Racing and Team Taser are close behind.
Steve O, Ratatack and Cane Racing fell back five spots, while Chief Racing was the only racer to gain five spots.
We had a good time at the mid season party, with 20 league members showing up. Since the race was rained out, we cut it short a bit and will continue the goings on at the year end party. Thanks to Arlyn and Brittany for taking good care of us.
This week we are up in the Irish hills of Michigan for the Pure Michigan 400. Although the speeds are high, in recent years Michigan has gotten away from producing any close racing and has become a gas mileage race.
The green flag is at approximately 1:19 over on ESPN. Stand on it!

Brad Keslowski, who many of us could not pull the trigger on due to his ankle injury and first practice crash, stunned us all and won at Pocono. Brad touched many of us by recognizing the troops we lost in the helicopter crash last week. Thanks Brad!
Steve O took the checkers, nipping Burke at the start finish line. Lisa Las Vegas, Punch and Speedway Princess round out the top five for Pocono.
Mama's Boy is hitting all his/her/ruff ruff marks and continues to show the way. Does anybody have anything for Boy Racing Inc? Pamela's Pistons is running hard, and Big Boy and Lil Boy, who have managed to tie their score once again (and when this happens, they go the same the rest of the way unless on the last week a move needs to be made), and The Big Lebowski round out the top five.
Speedway Princess and Lisa Las Vegas gained several spots, while Tank Racing and Smoke's Fury got caught out of the draft.
This week we are road racing up at Watkins Glen. For those who continuously wear us out about missing drivers, when Racescore adds them, we will, if we are available. We are not going to sit by the computer and wait for this to potentially happen.
Don't forget our mid season party at the Wingshack. Shawn has got some new HD screens, so viewing races has got much more user friendly. We will get started at Noon.
It might be Marcus Ambrose week?

Week 20 Commentary
Congrats to Paul Menard for winning the Brickyard 400 presented by Golden Corral.
Menard has been running strong this year, and was due to get his first win. In the past, the Brickyard has been a place for champions, with only Jamie McMurray and Kevin Harvick as past winners without a Cup Title. Jeff Grodon was charging, but Menard played it smart and held him off.
GBR88 took the CNL checkers, followed by L&M, Team Hot Stuff, MMSH and Lisa Las Vegas. Not sure if anyone had Menard.
GBR 88, Hot Tuff and MMSH gained the most spots. Meanwhile, Tank tanked, and Rataack, Speedway Princess and Chief tumbled several spots.
This week we return to Pocono for The Good Sam Insurance 500 out at Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Green flag at 1:19PM.
We have announced our midseason party will be held in two weeks at the Wingshack for the Budweiser at the Glen up at Watkins Glen. Adjust your calendars.

NASCAR God & Country
Christianity is being assaulted on a daily basis throughout the world. Just today, several large media outlets tried to tag the evil orchestrator of the Norway massacre a Christian. The left frequently mocks Christianity, and come this Christmas, we will hear the annual cries to take down those offensive nativity scenes.
Against all the negative backdrop, there is a safe haven: The thunderous tracks of NASCAR, where devotion to Christianity and Partiotism is celebrated. If you are offended, please feel welcome to carry you and your britches elsewhere. NASCAR is all about God & Country.
During each race, as part of the pre-race ceremonies, an invocation is presented. While the Sprint Cup Series took the weekend off, the Nationwide series took center stage last Saturday night at the running of the Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Speedway.
During the evenings invocation, after thanking God for all the blessings, Pastor Joe Nelms went off on nothing short of a classic tangent. Take a listen:
GM Performance, Goodyear Tires, smokin hot chicks! Throw in a couple of cold ones the rolling thunder of the good ole boys and God Bless America indeed.
See ya at The Brickyard on Sunday!

Week 19 Commentary
Finally, we had some good racing up at Loudon for the Lennox Tools 301. Ryan Newman won from the pole, with outside pole sitter and car owner Tony Stewart finishing second.
Budah took the checkers this week, and with good reason, as he has been studying hard over at seat 2A at The Shack seemingly on a daily basis. Team BC, Chevy Intimidators, Team Wolf and Boy's Toy round out the top five.
Gaining some ground were Ratatack Racing, WTF Racing and Speedway Princess. Out of gas were Team Cuda, MMSH, Little Circle Burner and S&T Racing.
Mama's Boy is continuing to show the way. SPC was unable to hold on at runner up, so Pamela's Pistons has jumped in. She is chased by two of the three remaining Fords over at Boy Racing Inc., Big and Lil Boy. The Gas Man is fifth.
After a week off, which on a dog day afternoon in the heat of July makes absolutely no sense, we hit Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Brickyard 400. Only 10 different driver have won at Indy, and most of them are past cup champions. Of active drivers, Kevin Harvick is the only winner without a cup title.
ESPN takes over coverage, with countdown starting at noon. The green flag is scheduled at approximately 1:19PM.
Who will kiss the bricks?

Week 18 Commentary
Kyle Busch took the checkers as the cup team invaded Kentucky Speedway for the first time.
I did not find the racing all that exciting, but at least I was not one of the tens of thousands reportedly stuck out on the Interstate in effort to get to track.
WTF Racing led the way in the Conway NASCAR League, followed by Flat Tires, S&T, Snook McTanken and Lucky Penny. A whole bunch of teams were very close behind.
Mama's Boy is still out front, with SPC in second. WTC, Pamela's Pistons and Big and Lil Boy round out the top five.
This week the boxes change, so be alert. Maybe we can shake up the standings some.
We are in New Hamsphire this weekend, which usually provides some good racing.
Stand On It.

Week 17 Commentary
It was a great evening over at The World Center of Racing at Daytona International Speedway as David Ragan of Unadilla, Georgia picked up his first victory inthe UPS Ford.
The rain stayed away and got off to a great start with Florida State football Coach Jimbo Fisher giving the command to start engines.
Flat Tires took the CNL checkers, followed by Blue 7 Racing, Disc Golfer, L&M Racing, Captain Schwab and Lisa Las Vegas.
Moving on up were Monsyeshot Racing, Chevy Intimidators, Little Circle Burner, Blue 7 Racing and Flat Tires.
Throwing anchor were Glynn, Team Hot Stuff, Punch, Big Time racers and Racing Fever.
Mama's Boy is comfortably out front at this point. SPC is second, WTC Racing, Pamela's Pistons and Team Taser round out the top five.
This week the cup cars hit Kentucky for the first time for a Saturday night showdown. This should be fun. Look for The Gas Man and Moneyshot Racing in the stands as they are live in bluegrass.
Enjoy the weekend and slap the shit out of Casey Anthony is you see her partying ass about town.

Week 16 Commentary
Out in wine country, tempers can run high. You just hope it does not involve one of your drivers. Did you hear me Tony!
So much for climbing up the leader board, but while I crashed and burned, others flourished with a strong set of racer selections. Dr. Jerry Punch led the way, Followed by The Big Lebowski, WTC Racing, Glynn^ and Ratatack.
Those strongly advancing positions after Sonoma were Ratatack, Ron Dog Racing, Punch and Little Circle Burner. Running off the course were Team BC, CosmoD and Steve O.
The top three spots remain the same. Mama's Boy ( a real dog ), SPC and Pamela's Pistons hold steady while The Big Lebowski and WTC Racing enter the top five.
This week, the boys are back in town for the Firecracker 400, now known as The Coke Zero 400. The Grand Marshal giving the command to start engines will be Florida State Seminole Head Football Coach Jimbo Fisher.
They will cut em loose on the high banks under green Saturday night at 7:48 PM.
See you there, Go 'Noles and ride it high and let it fly!

Michigan was Michigan.
Team Cuda won the week, followed by Captain Schwab, Pamela's Pistons, Urbansgators and Cane Racing.
No changes in our top five. Cuda led the move up, while Chief led the move down.
Road racing in Sonoma this week. Right and left turns.

Jeff Gordon ran strong and won the 5 Hour Energy 500 at Pocono. It was a clean race to be sure.
GBR88 to the CNL checkers, followed by Big Time Racing, Fitz Racing, Ratatack and Money Shot Racing.
Moving up were Money Shot, Speedway Princess, GBR88 and Ratatack, Sliding down the leaderboard were Snook McTanken, Runnin on Fumes and Racing Fever.
This week we head up to the Irish Hills of Michigan, where we find high speeds and potential gas mileage issues.
I suspect Dale, Jr. will be the car to beat.
Congrats to the new Hall of Fame honorees, including ole DW.

Week 13 Commentary
The STP 400 at Kansas Speedway once again had gas mileage play a significant role.
Not surprisingly, the most exciting story of the weekend was Richard Childress smacking around Kyle Busch after Friday evenings Camping World Truck Series race.
Brad Kesolowski, who very few if anyone selected, won the cup race.
Ratatack and The Big Lebowski tied for the CNL win. They were closely followed by Wonder Bread Racing, Burke, Hot Stuff Racing and Team Collin.
Mama's Boy continues to lead the way. SPC Racing remains in second, with Big Boy, Lil Boy and Team Taser rounding out the top five.
Ratatack was the only driver to gain over five spots this week. BAHL and Lisa Las Vegas lost over five.
This week, we are up to Pocono for the first of two summer races up there. TNT will take over race coverage, so be advised about that.
While Boy Racing Inc. is tearing up the league this year, their team could certainly use your prayers as a member is fighting some health issues.
Good Luck at the tricky triangle.

Week 12 Commentary
Kevin Harvick, who rarely saw the leaders all day in the Coca Cola 600, showed up at the finish line first after Dale Earnhardt Jr. ran out of Sunoco fuel a couple of hundred yards before the stripe. Junior was the second National Guard sponsored race team to falter just before the checkers, following an heart braking crash for rookie Indy car racer JR Hillibrand at Indianapolis.
Speedway Princess took the league checkers, followed by BMF Lugnuts, Miss Make Shit Happen, Man In Black and Captain Schwab.
Mama's Boy is out to what looks like a dominating lead, with the Tampa contingent of SPC Racing and Team Taser, and teammates Big and Lil Boy rounding out the top five. The Boy Racing Ford team and the new engine are definitely firing on all cylinders.
Please note, the boxes have changed!!!!!!!!! Big Boy and Little Boy tied for segment 2 winner.
Off to Kansas this week, and although this is not the most exciting of tracks, it is important points wise for all. No time like the present to put the hammer down!

Another fun race over at the Monster Mile at Dover.
Big Boy, Lil Boy and Mama's Boy won the week, followed by Pamela's Pistons and The Big Lebowski.
Gainers for the week included The Blue Deuce, Lisa Las Vegas, Smoke's Fury and Punch. Those dropping spots include Speedway Princess, Runnin on Fumes, GBR88 and Team Wolf.
Mama's Boy is building quite a lead, and if you have any plans on fighting for the championship, you may want to stand on it. SPC is second, Pamela Pistons, Team Taser and Tank Racing are close behind.
This week is the All Star Race in Charlotte, so no league action this week.
We pick things back up next weekend for the running of the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend.

Week 10 Commentary
Always some great racing at the ole Southern 500 at Darlington. The Lady in Black always throws out the red carpet for us.
Tempers continue to flare, and this time it was Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick.
Anyhow, amongst the melee, Regan Smith got his first ever victory. Smith has been qualifying great and running good all season, so even though he is with a one car team, his victory should not have come a surprise.
While Smith was winning, several of the Conway racers were crashing. Wonder Bread Racing fell 20 spots, Snook McTanken dropped 12 and, oh yes, commissioner BAHL fell 14. I took Brian Vickers, who was running fifth when Juan Problem Montoya hit him. He regrouped up until about 15th when David Ragan turned into a can opener on him. Jeff Burton blew up and Clint Bowyer, running in the top five, got tossed in the inside retaining wall during the Busch-Harvick dust up. Hell, I was looking for a few folks in the garage area after this one.
WTC Racing won the week, with former champion Glynn in second. A photo finish for third was between Blind Squirrel, WTF Racing, former champs Big and Lil Boy and Mama's Boy.
On the heels of these strong finishes, Mama's Boy has extender the lead over SPC Racing. Team Taser, Tank Racing, Pamela's Pitson and The Gas Man round out the top five.
This week we are off to the concrete mile in Dover for our first 2011 crack at the Monster Mile. The FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks i scheduled to go green at 1:15 EST on Sunday.

Saturday night at Richmond was a fun race, unless you are or picked Jeff Gordon, who slapped the wall some kinda hard.
Team Steve O took the week, edging out The Blue Deuce, RonDog Racing, Ratatack and Cehvy Intimidators.
Mama's Boy reamains out fron with SPC Racing, The Gas Man, Team Taser and Pamela's Pistons rounding out our top five. RonDog, Blue 7, The Blue Deuce, Steve O and Chevy Intimidators moved up the leaderboard. Snook McTanken tanked, along with Team BC and Team Collin.
Believe it or not, the season is moving along quickly and those who are losing site of the leaders need to get going.
It is Mothers Day Weekend, so we will not run this Sunday. But, we will be some Saturday night racing this week at Darlington, the original superspeedway. It is always great racing at the Track Too Tough To Tame. They are expected to put the field under green at 7:45PM.

Week 8 Commentary
Jimmie Johnson edged fellow Chevrolet driver Clint Bowyer, and a host of others, to take the Aaron's 499 at Talladega Super Speedway. It tied the closest finish in NASCAR history, matching Ricky Craven in his Tide Pontiac Grand Prix nipping Kurt Busch in his Sharpie Ford Taurus at Darlington.
Sweet Home Alabama indeed!
Glynn^ won the week, followed by Chief Racing, Smoke's Fury, Man In Black and The Big Lebowski.
The Big One collected a handful this week, including The Blue Deuce, Speedway Princess, S&T Racing, L&M Racing, No Ones Beatch, Fuller's Fast Track and Chevy Intimidators.
BAHL and Chief Racing each gained over ten spots, with Chief bolting into the top ten ins the standings.
Mama's Boy continues to show the way. SPC, The Gas Man, Team Taser and CosmoD are in chase.
The message board has been lit up with folks hammering us about points and drivers who are not declared for Sprint Cup points. For those out of the loop, a driver must declare what series they are racing for the championship in. This driver will not get NASCAR points in other series they run.
For example, Kyle Busch, who is running for the Sprint Cup, will not get Camping World Truck Series points and therefore would be ineligible to get points and win the Truck series championship.
When we first heard of this, and we did not like it, we set it up that whoever runs the Sprint Cup race will get points in the Conway NASCAR League, no matter where they are declared. As Luckydog pointed out on the message board, you can view your points, and all other drivers points, on the details page of Racescore.
Another topic on the message board is drivers who may be unavailable in the boxes. It would seem logical for Racescore to add every driver from the entry list, or for that matter, any driver who might even be contemplating running a Sprint Cup Race, so that we can add them to our boxes. Racescore seems to be waiting until after qualifying to add drivers. Qualifying is usually on late Friday afternoon, and we are wrestling a beer tap somewhere, not updating Racescore. We do add additional drivers when we can after qualifying if applicable. Steve Park was an example of this at Talladega, and he was added Sunday morning when I got to it.
This week, we are off for Easter. My Easter egg this year is Garnet and Gold!
We will be back on April 30, on Saturday night, for a run at Richmond International Raceway for the Crown Royal 400. They will put them under green at @7:43PM EST.
Rubbin, and Richmond, is Racin!

Boy, did Matt Kenseth have them covered or what?
It was the usual afternoon at Texas, with high speeds and little tight racing.
Cosmo D led the way in the Conway NASCAR League, followed closely by Tank Racing, Team Taser, Hot Stuff, The Blue Deuce and Big and Lil Boy.
Tank Racing and The Blue Deuce each gained over ten spots, while Speedway Princess, Fullers Fast Track, GBR88 and BAHL fell about ten.
Mama's Boy remains out front, with SPC, Team Taser, CosmoD and Hot Stuff close in tow. But, it is white knuckle weekend, which is nothing short of a wildcard.
That is right, we head to the Indian burial ground at Talladega Super Speedway this weekend for the Aaron's 499. It will be a crapshoot, two two tango style.
Green flag at approximately 1:19PM EST. And by all means, stand flat on it!

It is always a fun afternoon of racing at Martinsville, unless you get blindsided by an out of control Kurt Bush. Tempers do flare at the big paper clip, and many think, due to track repaving and the like, that it is the new Bristol.
In any event, Kevin Harvick come out of nowhere to take the checkers, and Team Taser regained his winning ways by winning the week. Tucked behind the rear spoiler of Taser were Flat Tires, Shook McTanken, Ratattack and O Racing. With the afternoon reduced to crumpled sheet metal were Budah, Fitz Racing, Blue 7 Racing and Canes 7 Racing. Rising in the standings were Taser, Snook McTanken, Boy's Toy, O Racing, Ratattack, Speedway Princess and Fuller Fast Track. Falling big were Wonder Bread Racing, The Blue Deuce, Blue 7 Racing and CF Canes 7.
THE BOXES HAVE CHANGED FOR TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY as we begin the new segment.
That is right. We have our first Saturday night race of the season as we hit Texas Motor Speedway for the Samsung Mobile 500. TMS is home of fast speeds and not so exciting racing. The green flag drops at @7:45PM, so get your picks in early. I will be at the Boone HS Hall of Fame dinner and will not be available.
Stand On It!

Week 5 Commentary
Out on the left coast, we ran the Auto Club 500, reduced to 400 miles this year, and as usual, it was not the most exciting racing we have ever witnessed. The speeds were very high, up over 205mph at some points, but little tight racing and passing held our attention. And with DW's and Moneyshot Racings Kentucky Widcats up against Jeff Burton and most of the other drivers North Carolina Tar Heels, it was double duty on the big screen.
Kevin Harvick nipped Jimmie Johnson, who bested Kyle Busch, for the win. Bobby Labonte blew a tire and smacked the wall late, but really not much going on.
In the league, Pamela's Piston, who has been on fire since about the midpoint last season, won the day. She was very closely followed by Chevy's Intimidators, Tank Racing, Lisa Las Vegas, Wonder Bread Racing*, WTC Racing, Team BC and SPC Racing.
Not a whole lot of big movers up the scoring ladder in the points standings. Tank, The Big LeBowski, Wonder Bread and Runnin on Fumes gained the most. Surpisingly, several drives lost quite a bit of ground, including Little Circle Burner, Team Taser^, Boy's Toy, O Racing, No Ones Beatch, CF Canes7, L&M Racing and Fitz Racing.
Several of our racers who have failed to get the entry fee in have got with me and gotten squared away. Several have not, and you are close to being called to Big Red Hauler, which will then lead to having your team parked, indefintely, complete with press releases (calling you out right here on the blog). Please help get this behind us, as it is not fair to your fellow racers.
This week, we go short track racing in Martinsville, Virginia, which I can promise you is some great racing. The Goody's Fast Relief 500 will drop the green flag Sunday at 1:13PM, and it looks like Speed's Hermie Sadler will be in the #71 Chevy. Get those picks in early.

Ultimate Emotional Rollercoaster
Toady, on The Glenn Beck Program, heard locally on 540WFLA 9AM till noon, Glenn had a chance to speak with Michael Waltrip about his new book, Blink of an Eye.
Glenn is not a sports guy, way too many political issues for him to tackle, but he did go The Daytona 500 and had a great time. Beck knew about Micheal and his story, and was rooting for Michael.
Take a listen to the interview:

Week 4 Commentary
Other than an early entanglement, it was a rather uneventful day at Bristol, as has been the case since they worked on the banking a few years back, but no worries for Kyle Busch. He is dominating at this track, no other way to describe it.
For the week, CF Canes and Man In Black tied for the win. L&M Racing, Runnin on Fumes, The Gas Man and Cosmo D rounded out the top five. Tempers were flaring for The Big Lebowski, Shake & Bake, Budah and Ratatack, who were behind the wall.
Mama's Boy is showing the way, with The Gas Man, Cosmo D, Blue 7 and SPC our top five. Gaining ground this week were Chevy Intimidators, Team Cuda, CF Canes and L&M Racing. Budah, The Big Lebowski, Speedway Princess and Fullers Fast Track lost several positions.
It has the look that it is tougher to gain with the new scoring system, so those in the back better light a fire. And things can get hot in Southern California, which is where we will be this week as we run the AutoClub 500 at Atuo Club Speedway. IT is a later race, with the green flag at 3:16PM EST. At any rate, get those picks in early.
I'll be pulling for Clint Bowyer this week, who will be driving the Ronald Reagan Centennial Celebration #33 Chevrolet. Win one for the Gipper Clint!!!

Week 3 Commentary
Rolling the dice in Las Vegas for the Kobalt Tools 500 served many well, and left many out of coin at the craps table.
While Carl Edwards took the checkers, others like Jeff Gordon and Greg Biffle sank in the standings.
Team Hot Stuff won the week. The Blue Deuce, Team Collin, Steve O and Team Wolf round out the top five.
After cutting a right front, Shake and Bake, Lucky Penny, Chevy Intimidators, WTC Racing and FFP, formerly Fins Twin Turbo, are left to bring up the rear.
Mama's Boy is showing the way, followed by The Big Lebowski, SPC Racing, Miss Make Shit Happen and Team Colling. Big gainers for the week included Collin, Hot Stuff, The Blue Deuce, Team Wolf and Blind Squirrel. Bad luck in Vegas coused those falling the most spots to be Chevy Intimidators, BMF Lugnuts and Pucky Penny.
After a week off, we head to Bristol Motor Speedway for the Jeff Byrd 500. Bristol is racin the way it ought to be, and the green flag will drop around 1:13PM EST. Do not be caught working your NCAA brackets and forget to pick, or you will be out of luck.
Good Luck

Week 2 Commentary
The Subway Fresh 500 was quite unusual for Phoenix, as half the field got put in a wad a quarter of the way through.
The Wood Brothers and Trevor Bayne spent a well deserved week of congratulatory goodwill but found trouble shortly afer reloading, culminating with Bayne backing in the wall. It is cool, Bayne is learning and everyone is still happy fo the Wood Brothers and the team 21 Ford.
Many times, when a drive has the race sponsor on the side of the car, you guessed it, they do well. Not so fact for Carl Edwards and the Subway Fresh Ford Fusion. Kyle Busch ping ponged him and half the field got collected. Some good drivers are already in points trouble.
Jeff Gordon broke a 66 racer streak and found victory lane, earning every yard of it by passing Kyle Busch, who was aiming to trifecta the weekend after winning the Camping World Truck and Nationwide races earlier in the weekend.
Mama's Boy won the week, followed closely by fellow garage member and teammate Boy's Toy. Lil and Big Boy often consult with these team as sort of a testing session but hit it big this week. The Big Lebowski, Miss Make Shit Happen, and boy does she, and Chevy Intimidators rounded out our top five this week.
Disc Golfer and Oiler, who have to start shotgun on the field after failing to pick last week (?), had to have their points added this week so it looks like they won the week. They did not.
Man in Black, WTF Racing, Tank, Punch and O Racing, who ran in the top five last week, were found with crumpled sheet metal in the garage area talking with the lovely Wendy Venturini.
Mama's Boy is our leader after week 2. The Big Lebowski, Chevy Intimidators, Fullers Fast Track and Speedway Princess round out the top five. Flat Tires had a tire down, along with Oiler, WTF Racing, Racing Fever and L&M Racing.
Week two is always when we see huge swings in the point positions, and so it was this week. Big gainers were Miss Make Shit Happen, CosmoD, Big Time Racers, Boy's Toy and Money Shot Racing.
For those tardy on the entry fee, please act quickly as we will be shutting folks out in the upcoming weeks.
This week we stay out west and hit Las Vegas Motor Speedway for The Kobalt Tools 400. For the first time since Bobby Allison in his Miller Buick edged out his son Davey in the Texaco Havoline Ford in the Daytona 500 decades ago has family members been one two in points. Las Vegas natives Kyle and Kurt Busch are one two in the current standings, which looks like a wreck waiting to happen.
The green flag drops at 3:14PM EST Sunday. Stand on it!

2011 Week 1 Commentary
It looks like just north of sixty of us took the green flag for the 2011 Conway NASCAR League season. It should be an exciting season, what with the Love Bugs and the new point system.
It was a beautiful day at The World Center of Racing on Sunday as we cut em loose for the 53rd running of The Great American Race.
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won the pole and was quite racy much of the afternoon, but he got punted like amny of the other front runners.Rookie Trevor Bayne, who ran strong all through Speedweeks, pulled of a miracle by winning the race. Thankfully, it was exciting even with the two car tandems.
Blue 7 Racing, joined by Speedway Princess and Fuller Fast Track won the week. Tank Racing and O Racing rounded out the top five.
We shall see what the degree of difficulty is in coming from behind with the new point system. It should be fun.
We will get all the changed team names and our rookies outlined before we get to Phoenix, which is where we will be next Sunday.
2010 CNL Champ Ricky Racer will be flying his 2010 Conway NASCAR League flag from the infield. Keep an eye out!
The Subway Fresh 500 drops the green flag at 3:14PM EST, so get those picks in early.

Two Two Twenty Two
Kurt Busch won the Budweiser Shootout last night, and although NASCAR brass are excited about the record number of lead changes, I found it very sub par racing.I hope something will be done to prohibit the two car tango we saw in the shootout from happening in the Daytona 500, or God forbid, The Twins. I do like the new nose, but we got to open up the racing and encourage multi car drafts which is what we have come to expect at The World Center of Racing.
Speedweeks is off and running and The Conway NASCAR League is gearing up for another great season.
Time is running out to get in position to run for the 2011 CNL Championship. We will have a last signup opportunity at The Wingshack on Friday, February 18 as we check out the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Can you feel the excitement!

2011 League Notes
We had a good time Friday night down at the Wingshack for the Conway NASCAR League 2010 Awards party and 2011 signups. Certainly, our league members enjoyed visiting with one another. Special thanks to Jessica and Heather for all the help keeping us in line.
Several folks have asked for some further information of the league. In response, I have put together the following for your review:

Welcome to the Conway NASCAR League 2011. We look forward to an exciting season of racing in the Sprint Cup Series and a competitive season in the Conway NASCAR League.
LEAGUE RESOURCES
RACESCORE. Racescore, located at HERE, is where we all go to make our picks each week. On this site, which we pay to subscribe to, all pertinent statistics are there for your review. Our selections come from boxes of six drivers, set by point standings. These change every six weeks. The top three in each six race segment are award winners, and we award the top ten finishers at the end of the season. You must establish a password to enter our league in Racescore. New 2011 race teams will need to establish one at the site.
RACE BLOG. Established two seasons ago, the blog offers weekly commentary about our league and is home to many fun information items regarding our league and of NASCAR in general, including published articles, highlights and videos. For frequent updates, please visit the blog at YOU ARE HERE NOW. The site has a comment section as well.
CNL Facebook. We created a page on FACEBOOK as well. At this time, we do not have many of league members as friends, but we do have a handful of cats as friends we do not know. Search for us on FACEBOOK and help us expand this outlet this year for more info and fun!
* The Conway NASCAR League ( CNL ) is a for entertainment purposes only Fantasy NASCAR League based in the lovely Orlando community of Conway.
*CNL has a mid-season and year end party each year where we use an allotment of the entry for wings and beer as an opportunity for our members to meet up, expand friendships and tell stories.
*Did you know CNL does have many league members from outside our community, with a large contingent from Tampa and a pair from Las Vegas, including 2010 Champion Ricky Racer!
*Did you know Lil Boy is our only 2 time Champion in our decade long history.
*The operators of CNL have limited control of the RACESCORE site. The site locks for picks ONE hour before race television coverage. Eliminate an issue, pick early, and adjust late. This way, you are always in the clubhouse with race selections.
*The awarding of prizes is based off an established standard breakdown arrived upon by league operators. The league operators reserve the discretion to modify this at any time. We have a long history in this regard, however, if you are of a "technical nature" and this statement concerns you, by all means choose to not participate.
Speedweeks in officially underway today. Keep it right here for further updates as we approach the 2011 season.

Week 36 Commentary
Congratulations to Ricky Racer, our 2010 Conway NASCAR League Champion!

Punch led the way with four wins and a solid 26th place finish. Pamela's Pistons had the most top 5 finishes, with 9 while MoneyShot Racing and Pamela's Pistons tied for the most top ten finishes with 14.
For the final week of racing, Blind Squirrel and Snookbabe tied for the win nipping Team Wolf, WTC Racing and Smoke's Fury at the start finish line.
