Tony Stewart led Jeff Gordon across the finish line to capture the Price Chopper 400 at Kansas Speedway last weekend.
The scores for our Conway NASCAR League racers were not impressive as there were little attrition on the track, other than my boy Bobby Labonte getting crashed out on lap 6.
Motorcare Racing won the week, with L&M Racing RW Racing, Sweethang and Blood or Tears Racing having good runs. Those who sideswiped the wall include Mama's Boy, The Blue Deuce, CEBO, Burke, NW Invasion, Team Collin, RKDK and Toga Phil Racing.
Fullers Fast Track jumped up several spots int he standings, as did Budah, SPC Racing, AFC Patriots and Punch. Losing the front draft were Mama's Boy, Lil Boy^^ and Big Boy^. Must have been a faulty part used amount team members.
Team Taser continues to show the way, and until we have a box change, he may be able to hold off everyone as the scores hae been low and tight. WTF and Ricky Racer remain second and third. Danielle Hall is not finished just yet and is in fourth. The Gas Man is fifth.
This week we head out to California to Auto Club Speedway for the Pepsi 500. The Nationwide race yesterday out at Auto Club has some altercations which may bleed over into today's action.
Greg Biffle and Joey Logano mixed it up along with Denny Hamlin, Greg Biffle and Brad Kesolowski.
I was otherwise engaged in College Football on Saturday and missed the telecast of the Nationwide race yesterday, but apparently this was not a banner day for ESPN.
NASCAR did announce that next year, the races will standardized start times, 1PMEST, for all Sunday races. That is good news in my mind, but they are still staggered for the remainder of this season. The green flag on the Pepsi 400 is scheduled to drop at 3:31EST today.
Good Luck!
