The Chase continued at New Hampshire International Speedway last Sunday, with Denny Hamlin taking the checkers.
Ratatack Racing won the week, with a freight train of racers in a tie for second, including Big Boy, Lil Boy, CF Canes, CosmoD, Mama's Boy and Mountain Boy.
Those moving up at least fove spots were Pamela's Pistons and Mountain Boy, with Burke and Smoke's Fury losing 5 or more.
The Big Lebowski continues to show the way. With his solid performances and tight scoring among the leaders, he is in a good spot. Big Boy Lil Boy, CF Canes and WTC Racing round out the top five.
We need to note a few passings, First, the dean of motor sports reporting , Chris Economaki, died Friday morning at 91. Economaki was well lover within the garage areas and by the millions of fans who follow auto racing.
And locally, we lost former league member Potentially Tolerable Racing, Pete Roether, on Saturday morning. A wonderful man and friend to all who knew him here in Conway, the Notre Dame graduate was always great for some keen wisdom and good laughs, covering the gamut talking college football, racing and the political arenas. When remembering his big smile, we can all find times to cheer cheer for old Notre Dame in his honor.
This week we are in Dover for the Monster Mile. Dover is a track that can bite you if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, and not withstanding Kyle Petty winning from 37th in 1995 in the Coors Light Pontiac Grand Prix, track position is key.
Have a good run. The field goes green at 2:15 PM.
