Week 36 Commentary

Glynn has defended his title and won the 2014 Conway NASCAR League championship, setting a torrid pace through much of the season.  Team Taser had a stellar season, but lost ground to Glynn down the stretch.

Congratulations to Kevin Harvick and his Stewart-Hass Racing team for winning the 2014 Sprint Cup Series Championship!  The championship is his first, and the first for his new team as he moved over to join Stewart-Haas after having been at Richard Childress for over a decade.

Kevin Harvick, 2014 Sprint Cup Champion
Ryan Newman finished second, Denny Hamlin third and Joey Logano, whose team had a miserable late pit stop, finished fourth.

The top five finishers for 2014 in The Conway NASCAR League were Glynn, Team Taser, KDog Racing, No Ones Beatch and Smoke's Fury.

WTC Racing won the week, a consecutive win as they won last week as well.  FLYNC5 was second, Slim Shady third, Blue 7 Racing fourth and Little Circle Burner fifth.  Not too many movers, with FLYNC5 and WTC racing moving up more than three or more and Burke and CosmoD falling three or more.

JR Racing is the winner of the last segment, with 88 AMPs second and Glynn third.

The 2014 leaders for wins this year were Eagles Nest and Smoke's Fury with 4 and Team Taser, Glynn with 3.

The 2014 leaders for top fives were Glynn with 11 and Team Taser and Blind Squirrel with 9.

The 2014 leaders for top tens were Glynn with 19, and Team Taser and BAHL with 15.

It was a great year, and although we had a few folks park their car, the competition behind the top five was spirited.

We will have an awards ceremony in January, where we will down some wings and beer along with enjoying fellowship among the racers in our league.  We will also do signups for 2015 as well.

We will update the blog and our Facebook page with details about the event after the first of the year.

Enjoyed it. Stay thirsty!
