Week 30 Commentary

Joey Logano won the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway Sunday afternoon, establishing the #22 team as the favorite moving forward in the Chase. Kyle Larson had another strong run, and is a threat to win every week.

Several top teams had bad days, led by Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski. Kurt Busch had another wall slapping afternoon.

Eagles Nest won the week, followed by Blind Squirrel Racing, OSteen Racing, Jr. Racing and SPC Racing, which is an odd grouping to be sure.

Blind Squirrel Racing was the only racer to gain big on the day, but Team Wolf, Team Hot Stuff, Slim Shady Racing and Punch lost the draft early.

Glynn remains our leader, with Team Taser close behind.  No Ones Beatch took third from KDog, who fell to fourth, with Smokes Fury in fifth.

We begin our final box set this week as the race at Kansas concluded our last box set.  Blue 7 Racing won the segment, with Blind Squirrel Racing second and Eagles Nest, on the heels of the big win this week, third.

THE BOXES HAVE CHANGED FOR THE CHARLOTTE RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Saturday night, right there amidst the LSU-Florida game at the Swamp, we will drop the flag on the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  They aim to place the field under green at 7:46PM.

It is flat time to mash the gas.  We note that the three team stalwart of Boy Racing Inc is in serious need of horsepower, with positions 20-25 flat covered in the standings.  This is most unusual for this perennial powerhouse organization, so we will see if they can find some speed here in the last box set.

Have a good week!
