Week 15 Commentary

Jimmie Johnson, who has not ran particularly well at Michigan, won the Quicken Loans 500 on Fathers Day at Michigan International Speedway.  Speeds were very high throughout the day.

Ricky Racer won the week, followed by ORacing, Team Taser and Eagles Nest.  Glynn and CF Canes tied for fifth.

There were not a lot of major moves in the standings this week.  O Racing was the only racer to pick up five spots, while Jr. Racing and The Blue Deuce, who is having an interesting season, were the only racers to slip five or more spots.

Team Taser continues to run on the point, and without a caution flag, he looks to be the favorite to close the season.  Glynn is second, No Ones Beatch remains strong in the top five at third, whith Man In Black and KDog Racing rounding out the top five.

We hit our first road course this week as we travel out to Sonoma for the running of the Toyota / SaveMart 350(k). While Clint Bowyer was fastest in Happy Hour practice, Jamie McMurray is your polesitter.

I don't know about you, but I have come to like these road course races about as much as any of them.

The field will be put under green at approximately 3:19PM on Sunday.  Coverage will be on TNT.

Keep the shiny side up!
