The tight confines of the famed Martinsville Speedway produces some mighty fine short track racing, but also gets the tempers flaring. We witnessed some of that between former champs Brad Keselowski and Kurt Bucsh, who ended up taking the checked flag after passing Jimmie Johnson.
O Racing collected a much needed win, out dueling OShea Racing, Eagles Nest, ME Racing and Fox Racing. A couple of rookies in the top five; nice! A slew of racers tied for sixth.
Some wild swings were recorded in the point totals as we closed out segment one. Slim Shady, OShea Racing, Little Circle Burner, BAHL, SPC Racing and ME Racing. Four drivers ran into some serious hardship, including Cosmo and Pup N Suds, and UFW Chief and Pup N Suds, who lost 17 and 21 spots respectively. WOW!
Team Taser continues to show the way, followed by Glynn and No Ones Beatch, who are tied for second. These are the winners of Segment One. Man In Black and Team Wolf rounded out the top five.
Segment One Winners
1. Team Taser
2. Glynn
2. No Ones Beatch.
Winnings for second and third place will be combined and split.
We begin Segment Two, and as such, THE BOXES HAVE CHANGED as the circuit travels to Texas Motor Speedway for the running of the Duck Commander 500. Yes, the gang from Duck Dynasty is sponsoring the race, so it should be a big time.
The field goes green at approximately 3:16PM on Sunday. For those who have run into some bad luck to start off the season, the new box set provides new opportunities to advance win some prizes, so stand on the gas!
