The night race at Atlanta was taken by Kasey Kahne and Punch could drink to that.
Punch grabbed the checkers this week netting him a bucket at the Shack, but he is dry for a while. He certainly needed a tall cool one after yet another devastating loss by the 'Noles. Rounding out the top five were GBR 88, Tippy Twister, Fastlane Limited and Oiler^.
Those who got collected and were in the garage area were The Blue Deuce, Sweethang^, Fitz Racing^, Cuda, CosmoD^, Greenbud and Budah. Our leader, Danielle Hall, had a very poor race as did Boy Racing, Inc.
Even with the poor race, Danielle Hall continues to show the way. However, it has tightened up considerably. Team Taser , Brady Bunch^ , WTF Racing and Ricky Racer round out the top five. In looking at the standings there may be 22 racer who could still win the league. But, in all likelihood, it will be sorted out among the top 9.
Top gainers for the week were James Hall Racing, Tippy Twister, Punch, Pamela's Pistons^, NJ Motorsports, Mangler and Oiler^. Some racers had poor weeks, but due to their position in the standings, they did not drop much. But some did, and they include Budah, Burke and Team Cuda.
After the boxes change, we have do some cleanup in the scoring due to folks rolling their lineups. Several racers showed up at our hauler, or fired emails at us, to complain. We need to attack this manual scoring adjustment process sober, so it takes a a day or two to get it sorted out. Luckydog handled it and the standings are up to date and correct.
This week we travel back to Richmond for some Saturday night short track racing at Richmond International Raceway, which is very exciting. The green flag drops at 7:43PM.
