Week 5 Commentary

It seemed like a fairly uneventful day at Bristol Motor Speedway where tempers often flare and rubbin is racin. Without any significant crackups, if you had the field covered like Kyle Busch you had a big day, and indeed, several of the Conway NASCAR League race teams did just that.

Offshore Gamester led the way with an eye popping 1111 points. Don't get comfortable as 3 racers, Brian Racing*, Cosmo D* and Glynn^, were right on his blue fin tunas tail. Out of nowhere, Punch Drunk again and rounded out the top 5.

Flat Tires Race Team* had a number of blowouts to finish up last for the race. Club BDawg* and, surprisingly, Wiseguys Racing were left in the garage with engine trouble.

The Blue Deuce* has taken command of the league with BAHL falling to second. WTF Racing, Ratatack and Tippy Twister round out the top five. The leader after this weeks race will win segment 1, and the boxes will also change.

Making some big moves toward the front this week were Team Cuda, Diamond Dave, CosmoD*, Punch, Glynn^ and Brian Racing*. Crashing and burning this week were Mama's Boy, Wiseguys Racing, Burke (ouch) Fitz Racing* Charging Aardvarks* (name of the year), Slow Motion, Lisa Las Vegas and 2 or 5 Racing*, after some rather extensive commentary about assuming the point.

This week we run at the mother of all short tracks, Martinsville Speedway, for the Goody's Fast pain Relief 500. I really enjoy Martinsville as every inch of real estate (my gig) is contested (Yes, call me if you need your property taxes contested). The green flag is at approximately 2:16PM.
