Mark Martin, who is defintiely in a resurgence with Hendrick MotorSports, collected the win at Darlington at the track too tough to tame.
Speaking of a resurgence, AFC Patriots, a stellar performer a year ago, got his first win of 2009 in the Conway NASCAR League as he bested an upstart Budah to the finish line. Rounding out the top five were Ricky Racer, WTC Racing, Team Taser^ and Diamond Dave. The scores were very high considering the odd finishing order of the race.
Girls Racing, Oiler^ (no access to a computer?) Team Ish, Mangler, Turn4G8tr and Speedway Princess all found themselves behind the wall.
The Blue Deuce continues to hold on and the pack behind him is getting bunched up. BAHL, Ricky Racer, URBANSGATORS, BMF racing and Brady Bunch are all within 200 points of the lead.
Leading the point gainers for the week was AFC Patriots followed by WTC racing Team Taser, Budah, Ed Racing, Lisa Las Vegas and GBR 88*. Speedway Princess dropped a mind boggling 29 spots and among the others sliding were NJ Motorsports, WTF Racing( a total yo-yo season), Blind Squirrel Racing, Oiler^, Tippy Twister, Snookbabe, Fullers Fast Track and Team Ish.
While we were away, Tony Stewart won the Spring All Star Race. Congrats Smoke!
We remain in Charlotte for the running of the World Coca Cola (KO:NYSE) 600 on Sunday. Practice is this afternoon at 3 and qualifying is tonight at 7PM.
Make sure to get your picks in before you go to the beach and have a safe Memorial Day Weekend and remember our troops. God Bless America!
